Welcome to this month's Here& Now! I realise my post is a little later getting up here than I normally have it, but at least I still managed to get it done in the morning :-) It's been one of those weeks here, so I'm not surprised that I'm running late with the blogging.
I hope you'll join in today too, or sometime before midnight on the 17th. It's fun to see what everyone's been up to and a great way to get a little documentation into your blog without having one of those extraordinarily long lists.
Here we go!
Loving // The little taste of spring we've been getting. You all know I'm a cold weather person, but I do really love those first few warm weeks too. I always enjoy a seasonal change, even if I do lament the farewell of the previous one. Having said that, it's cold again here today! Crazy August weather.
Eating // Nothing right now, but I was down on the coast yesterday and discovered a lovely french patisserie I didn't know existed. Their little sweet treats were divine - I had a Pear & Almond tartlet.
Drinking // Tea! Lovely organic English breakfast tea, with a mug cosy to keep it warm
Feeling // Quite done in - but I can't believe it is only Thursday!
Making // Stitch markers for my shop, quite a few more than I anticipated as they are being very popular. I'm also working on a new pattern, I'm half way through it now, long past the swatching stage you see in the desk photograph above.
Thinking // That I've had calmer weeks. The camera died this week. Just completely stopped working. Between playing up on Monday and a phone call with Canon, it turned its toes up the next day. I'm grateful I had my iPad to photograph stock with, although I never thought I'd be uploading non-proper-camera photos to my shop. But I did!
Anyway, a second-hand Canon seems to be the solution so that I can send mine down to Canon in Sydney and see what they have to say. I've never bought electronic or computerised goods second hand before and I was so stressed. I'm still holding my breath even though the new-to-me camera is sitting here and is working!
The camera dying was just the metaphorical mouse that tipped the whole week upside down
Dreaming // Of nothing much right now, I'm still focused on the doing!

Your stitch markers are so cute, if only I knitted. Love the styling for your yarn shots are beautiful, hope the rest of your week improves.
ReplyDeleteThank-you so much Julie! I hope this week is a bit calmer too :-)
DeleteI have never bought a second-hand camera before either, but now you say, it's so obvious. Where did you look? eBay? Gumtree?
ReplyDeleteI found this one on Gumtree, I had to drive about an hour and a half away to get it but so far it seems worth it! :-)
Deleteboy do I understand those weeks that throw you off. this is the second one in a row for me. maybe it's the weather, nice cool days in august here :)
ReplyDeleteI hope this week is better for both of us Ann! x
DeleteOh no Sarah...I hope your camera is OK? Isn't it a terrible feeling? Some time ago I thought I would very quickly and carefully get some photos in the rain. It seemed like a good idea until my Canon started to go absolutely bonkers, with all of the digital settings flashing etc! Once it dried out it was fine but I had a small heart attack! x
ReplyDeleteIt is a terrible feeling, especially when I rely on it for my product photography. It's not very old, either. I don't know if it's ok or not, I have to mail it to Canon in Sydney now and see what they say :-)
DeleteI'm glad to hear your's is fine! That does sound scary. x
Missed the link up but here is my post
