Floral Fridays ~ A New Bloom

A gift from my dear sister. Red & white roses, pretty pink carnations and white statice. The roses were tiny buds when I received them, but they have since started to bloom and become even more beautiful.
Isn't it odd how something so simple as a jar of flowers can bring such joy?

They came at the perfect time, for Trishie of the lovely blog Under Lock & Key invited me to join her new monthly blog link-up, Floral Fridays. I was thrilled that she thought of me, and of course I couldn't say no. I love sharing my photos here with you, and this gives me just one more excuse to do it just a little more often! If you'd like to join in next month the details are below:

"Floral Fridays is a monthly photography project with different themes each month. This series is about fun and taking time out to smell the flowers. To play along, please email Trishie (trishie@underlockandkeyblog.com) for next month's theme"

................................................

Have a lovely weekend, won't you, and do pop by the other bloggers who have joined in this fun new link-up. You might just feel inspired by all this flowery prettiness, I certainly hope it brightens your day!

xx

  2. Your flowers are so pretty and makes me want to hurry Spring up when it is so cold and snow on the ground. I love roses no matter what color they are. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  11. Such pretty blooms ... love the frilly edges of the carnations ;) It's nice to see flowers blooming in the dead of winter. I have a Christmas cactus blooming, geraniums and shamrocks ... but it's not the same as seeing the flowers out in the garden in summertime. Wendy x
