Here & Now | April 2018 Link-Up

Loving // That the weather is cooling down (albeit slowly!), and that I'm feeling so much more settled in this new place

Eating // Peanut Butter cookies
Drinking // Water...that is, more of it. I had a couple of busy days where I let myself get a bit dehydrated, so I've tried to be more conscious of how much water I have during the day

Feeling // So happy after Saturday's workshop (still), and a little daunted by the small number of weeks left on the count-down calendar for when I need to leave for Knitfest Maleny (so much to do still!).
Making // Tea Mice, and a secret gift knit that I can't share here!

Thinking // About running a Tea Mouse Knit-Along. It's definitely happening, after a couple of lovely ladies asked if I would do one. As it had already been on my mind, it was a pretty easy decision :-) I'll have the dates and details up here soon, I'm just organising the kits (for mice like the one pictured, and others) and other goodies at the moment.
(If you want to find out the KAL details make sure you're subscribed to the blog, as I'll post all the details here).

Dreaming // Of a day trip a little out west, once Autumn is in full swing, to see the change in the countryside. I'm more excited than most about the idea of a "proper" autumn after spending my life in the tropics and subtropics. Bellingen doesn't get particularly cold, but we're not very far away from places that do!

What's happening in your world right now? Would you like to take a moment to document it on your blog? Here & Now is a fun exercise to reflect and think about the little parts of life (the ultimately make up the bigger picture.) Join us!

The link-up is open from today until midnight on the 17th of this month.
Simply copy the Here & Now list from below, paste it into a new blog post and fill it in. Add as many (or as few) photos to your post as you like and then hit publish!
The last step is to come back here and add the link to your new blog post to the link-up tool below so that we can all see your post.
I'd love it if you could please link back here in your post, too, so that others can find the link-up.

  1. Is that a sourdough starter you have on the go.... I am keen to start one up after watching an episode of River Cottage. What do you start/make yours with?

    1. Hi Clarissa,
Yes that's my sourdough starter, one I was reviving from two year old dried started I had stored :-) I bake with 100% whole spelt for my sourdough, although I start it off with rye for the first few days. All of my recipes are in my eBook (https://saylittlehenshop.com/collections/sourdough/products/spelt-sourdough-made-simple-ebook), but I've also written a lot about sourdough here on the blog if you check out the tag: http://www.saylittlehen.com/search/label/sourdough

      Sarah :-)

  6. Hi Sarah, glad to hear you are still enjoying the 'buzz' after your workshop. I love the mice - my oldest daughter is very into mice right now. I might have to consider a kit when you release them - or send it in the direction of a knitting-loving relative at least!

    1. Oh no! Time differences can be so annoying, can't they? You're more than welcome to pop the link to you post in the comments here x

  9. Oh peanut butter cookies sound VERY good right now! I may have to bake myself some, even if it messes up my over cleaned open home kitchen a little. Heheh... :)
