Well, we're officially more than half way through the year now. I can't quite belive it. Actually, I keep forgetting it is July. There are little signs to remind me though - the days are very slowly becoming a tiny bit longer again after the Winter Solstice, and the paddocks and bush around me have quite suddenly become very dry and crispy.
It's time for Here & Now once again - I hope you'll enjoy this month's post and also the posts that others will share too. (Make sure you check back in a day or two to see the newly added ones!). I'd love it if you'd join in too, either on your own blog or on Instagram. The guidelines for doing both are at the bottom of this post.
Loving // The stack of hand knits above. It's probably going to sound strange, but I've been waiting for the day when I had knitted myself enough wearables to have a little stack. I'm looking forward to continuing to add to it. I'm also loving the gorgeous sunny days we've been enjoying for a little while now that come with the most gorgeous golden light both morning and evening; and continuing to try and learn to spin (it's touch and go sometimes!).
Eating // Nothing right now, but later I will have some fresh sourdough with butter and maybe some locally grown raw honey
Drinking // Several cups of tea a day
Feeling // Not quite ready to tackle the housework, but it must be done!
Making // A little more progress on my knitted Vintage Sweater now that gifts and design deadlines are out of the way, and also yarn. Yes, I'm spinning yarn! Albeit kind of dodgy yarn, but hey, it's still yarn!! (Spinning post coming later this week).
Thinking // About a lovely lunch with friends and a family birthday both planned later for the week. I'm looking forward to them both very much!
Dreaming // Of starting a fibre stash for spinning, and of the lovely hand dyed yarns due to arrive in my shop in a few weeks.
Now, what are you up to? Share with a Here & Now post of your own, either on your blog, Instagram or even in the comments below! It's a fun way of documenting the little things month to month, and also a good way to get the words flowing again if you're feeling a bit stuck with your blogging (well it works for me at least!).
The link up is open from today until midnight on the 17th of this month. Remember you can now join in two ways - either on your blog or share your Here & Now on Instagram! The instructions on how to Instagram your Here & Now are below, but here are the guidelines for blogging:
Copy and paste the list below, create your blog post, then pop back here and add your link! (Please remember to link back here in your post too so that others can join in!)

yay for your knitted stack Sarah! I can't wait to see what you make to add to it! Megan x
ReplyDeleteTurns out I forgot something from it so I may have to do it again! :-)
DeleteSuch pretty photos Sarah. Your woolly stack is gorgeous, I would be bursting with pride if I had produced this with my own hands, you should be proud! Have a great week. Oh...I feel like honey now x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jane! I hope you have a lovely weekend! x
DeleteLovely photos, such a pity the dreaded housework is always there. What is the lovely pink flower in the second photo of this post?
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie! The flower is a Penta, it's a very prolific here and flowers year round.
DeleteI love the pictures, a little insight into the farm life! Your dogs and chickens are so beautiful! I recently fostered four Border Collie cross puppies until they could go to their forever homes, beautiful breed! Xx

Thats lovely that you fostered them! It's something I've thought about from time to time but I'm not sure I'd have the heart to part with them....I can see my house over run with dogs now :-)
DeleteBah housework! I know the feeling! You Here & Now is looking lovely as always, Sarah. Be proud of your stack - most of us only wish we could make such lovely woolies, especially on cold winter days like today. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura!
DeleteLook at those gorgeous Pentas flowers. I love them! I can't believe the year is more than half gone either, Sarah. It seems time keeps marching on! Meg:)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does!
DeleteI love your woolly stack! How great to be able to hold something you have created. You have made me yearn for a honey sandwich now...
ReplyDeleteKate x
Thank you Kate!
DeleteLoving you knitted stack! Hope your dream of a fibre stash for spinning become a reality very soon......you'll be able to add to that stack!
ReplyDeleteI began my fibre stash last night :-D
DeleteI dream of having a knitted sock stack :) even though I haven't learned how to knit socks yet, one day I will!
ReplyDeleteYou will! I learnt to knit socks in-the-round this year :-)
DeleteMy daughter keeps asking me to knit her something just for her, I am still an amateur knitter and pretty much only knit dishcloths at the moment - that takes me a few days alone! I hope one day I can have a little stack of goodies just like yours :)
ReplyDeleteI'm certain you will get there with your knitting! There are lots of easy clothes patterns out there, along with the more complicated ones :-)
DeleteThank you so much for joining in Here & Now this month! I tried to leave a comment on your post but it seems I don't actually have a google+ profile! I wanted to say that your puppy is SO cute! And I agree with you about fires too, I love them x
Thank you, she is a cutey :)
