The knitted dishcloth. It was the first thing I made with the mind to sell, all those years back when I ventured to the markets. It was was a best seller, a staple in our kitchen and a lovely delight to revisit when I was contacted about them two weeks ago.
A lovely lady sent me an email, telling me that she had once visited my market stall some four years back, when she purchased two dishcloths from me. She'd held onto my business card for all those years, until the dishcloths were finally worn out and she was in need of more. I was so delighted to receive her email, to know that someone had purchased something I'd made, and they'd truly appreciated it, loved it, used it! It was such a lovely feeling.
So I got to knitting her order of six. I remembered how much I love making pretty stacks of dishcloths, so I photographed them and have just popped them into my Etsy store, as made to order.
