We celebrated a family birthday on the weekend. It was a quiet, simple affair, made even simpler when some of our few plans were cancelled (super hot, super stormy - not nice weather for outings!)
Thankfully the weather could not interfere with cake eating or baking, so the birthday cake was still enjoyed with pleasure. It was adorned with simple paper bunting and a little "Happy Birthday To You" sign.
