Cool photo Sarah! I would probably take a picture of pennies! I know it sounds silly but I find them when I'm out walking quite a bit. I guess I have always seen them as a positive or lucky sign!
I love the photo Sarah, looks like a very old horseshoe too. I would have to think about what I would take a photo of for lucky-I do feel lucky too finding pennies though
We have found a couple of horseshoes out on our walks. I've always wondered which way to hang them. I've always thought it lucky to find coins on the ground.
I've heard that if you hang horse shoes up-side down that all the luck will run out, but hung this way, all the luck stays in them, thus making them lucky. I just find it a nice addition to the yards, whether it is lucky or not, I'm not really sure :-)
You've reminded me of the great debate my Gran would have with folk about horseshoes. She had one on her garden shed, the other way up to yours, and when people told her that was wrong, it was upside down and the luck would run out of it, she would say, 'T'other way up the devil will sit in it!'
Hello! Comments are the best part about blogging - I'd be really rather thrilled if you left one! I always try and respond too - so remember to pop back, won't you! ♥
I would photograph the huge rainbow I saw today... ironically, I wasn't lucky enough to have my camera with me.
ReplyDeleteThat would be lovely! Perhaps you will have your camera next to one comes along :-)

ReplyDeleteThank-you Nicole. It doesn't sound silly at all - it seems very lucky to find pennies! :-)
