Knit Colour

Well, here is the post about my new project that I promised you. What are all those circles for, I hear you ask?

They are to be tied to a string, in an arrangement of prettiness, to form a colourful garland.

I'm having so much fun making it.
I was getting tired of baby hats, and needed a little project to do that would lift up my knitting spirits again.

I have had the idea for this bunting wandering around my head for some time, so I rummaged around in my yarn stash, choosing the colours I thought would go nicely together.

I didn't worry about gauge or tension, I actually wanted the circles to be different sizes. 4, 8 & 10 ply were among the mix, and I am quite happy with the results.

What have you been creating lately? Anything exciting or new?
My garland is nearly finished, and I am ready to return to hat-knitting again now.

A little update on Mr Boobook: He flew away that night, and the next morning mama Sunbird was back in her nest, very contented and pleased that the annoying visitor had left.
I spied Mr Boobook again last night, just on dark. He was sitting in a branch, watching me put the baby turkeys to bed.

  2. Hi Sarah, they will look gorgeous strung up as a garland and I love that they are knitted circles. I haven't seen that before and I initially thought they were crochet circles until I checked out the ravelry link. Very sweet. And I completely relate to having to do a little interim project before getting back to a main project as I have just done that - made myself a little something before getting back into the cardigan I'm making for my daughter :-) Mel x
