The Last of Photo A Day

Day 27: Sun

Captured on a late afternoon walk

Day 28: Through

Looking through the grass, into the cow paddock with the clouds behind, tinted orange by the setting sun.

Day 29: Grow

These flowers we planted last year, when we first moved in. They eventually died off, by have grown back with the recent rain.

Day 30: Down

Looking down from the verandah at our Silky hen, Apricot, taking a dust-bath.

Day 31: Yourself

I'm camera shy. I rarely let a picture of myself be taken - so a shadow is as good as it gets I'm afraid!

........................

I really enjoyed this Photo Challenge; it's the first I've ever done.
I won't be joining the February challenge though, as I think that February is going to be pretty full around here.

And I'd like to have the time for more knitting, quilting and reading, and get back to just taking photos for the blog when I really feel like it. I might join in again by March, we'll just have to wait and see I guess!

Sarah xx

PS Thank-you for all your lovely comments re our sick cow. She had been down for 6 days, which is quite bad in cattle as all their joints lock up. After a lot of yelling, shouting, banging and other noisy tricks to get her up onto her feet this morning, she finally stood and we forced her to keep walking to get the stiffness out of her joints.
In short it took us a total of 4 hours of care to that one cow this morning (not counting the other 5 mornings!) and now she's finally on the mend. We're really happy :-)

  1. These are PERFECT! The chicken had me stumped (until I actually looked at the description UNDER the photo - duh!) And, I have an aversion to pictures too...the shadow was clever - great idea! Happy Thursday - Tanya

  2. HI Sarah, Great photos! I have enjoyed your month of photo challenge, but I agree it is nice to take photos because you want to, not because you have to! Nice shadow portrait :) Julie x
